What are “Traditional Crafts” in Nozawa Onsen Village?
They are crafts that have been used in daily life in the village for a long time
and are still hand-made using traditional natural straw materials by traditional techniques.
We even use hot spring water in many of the processes.
In this class, a very delicate basket with a natural texture is completed.
It is a “Motion Meditation” while making your own original basket.
You’ll love it, and it’s a great companion to go out with every day.
You can decorate it with ribbons and accessories if you like.

Anyone over the age of 18 can participate at their own risk.
Under 18 years old must be accompanied by a guardian.
Also, if you have a fever of 37.5 degrees celsius or higher or are not feeling well
within 3 days before the activity date, please refrain from participating.
